Success Story of an Invincible Blogger:
🌱 1. The Big Dream of the Village: Sohan was born in a far-flung village of Bagha Upazila, Rajshahi. While all the city boys and girls used to go to computer classes, Sohan would just go to the shop at the village market and learn how to type on his mobile phone. His father was a primary-school teacher himself. He would have wanted his son to at least qualify into some government job and then maintain the family.
But Sohan had a different dream. And that was to write and communicate the thoughts, feelings, and views of life to people.
"I used to write about my dreams, my village diary, how I saved my tuition money, and how I bought internet with a small phone."
🧗♂️ 2. Stay Failed: For at least two years, Sohan's blogs did not manage to garner an average of two hundred visitors a month. The comments would simply be "nice posts" from one or two of his friends.
Friends would laugh and teachers would say, "Don't waste your time." Even at home, they might say, "When will you get a job doing this?"
But Sohan kept silent, as if the fire was burning inside.
He learned: "On-page SEO, Keyword Research, Low Competition Niche" — he learned these words from YouTube, took notes, and practiced them at night.
🛠️ 3. Plan of Content Strategy and Rebranding: At the beginning of 2020, Sohan made a decision: "No more writing about everything." This time he decided:
- Focus Niche: Scholarship, freelancing and career guide for Bangladeshi students
- Weekly Schedule: 2 pieces of content per week
- Quality First: Written for the reader, not for Google. Within just 4 months of the change, one of his posts went viral - "How to start earning online income after passing SSC?"
This started getting shared all heavily on Facebook and forums first. This was the initial big traffic.
💸 4. First Income, Tearful Night: That day saw the imagined $102 coming into an AdSense account, and cheque number 1 with his name on it was given to his father.
His mother said that day, "We never imagined that your writing would bring money home one day!"
That night of tears and joy was different in Sohan's timeline.
🛡️ 5. Hacking, Disaster, and Rebirth: In May 2021, all of a sudden, he couldn't access the blog. The hosting company went rogue, causing the site to be hacked and subsequently having all data deleted.
Sohan did not eat for a whole week, all mentally breaking down. Then he said, "If I have to start all over again, I shall do it this time better than before."
He did not sleep that night getting new hosting, learning cloud backup, and rewriting old content. That determination turned him into an icon for the budding bloggers once again.
